An official statement said that the training programs under this initiative include disaster management and preparedness, rescue operations, CPR techniques, community-based disaster management, and the incident response system. The initiative is designed to enhance the capacity of police officers to respond effectively during emergencies, thereby improving overall public safety.

Since the MoU’s inception in 2022, approximately 17,000 police trainees have benefited from this collaboration. NDRF instructors conduct regular sessions across all categories of trainees, fostering greater coordination and operational efficiency between the two forces.

Commissioner Golchha praised the NDRF for their expertise and steadfast devotion, highlighting the importance of this cooperation in strengthening Delhi’s resilience against disasters.

“The collaboration has also emphasized community engagement, training police personnel to assist and guide citizens during disaster situations,” said the officer.

Senior officers from both Delhi Police and NDRF were present at the signing ceremony, underscoring the shared dedication to enhancing disaster preparedness and safeguarding the capital’s residents.

This renewed MoU marks a pivotal step forward in reinforcing the city’s readiness to face natural and man-made disasters with greater effectiveness and coordination.
